Roman Colosseum

Roman Colosseum

Today it is such beautiful weather, it is about the standard of a seriously lovely day in the uk B-)
I have visited one of the biggest landmarks in Rome, and it is certainly very impressive! I managed to avoid the massive queue that was snaking its way around the pillars by going into a comparatively smaller queue for the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum as the tickets are inclusive. Looking at it, it is quite difficult to imagine it completed, but inside you can still see seating and the labyrinth of corridors below the original floor which no longer exists. Some ‘rebel’ tourists ducked under the barrier and went up the scarily steep steps to the top, but somehow I didn’t particularly like the prospect of going up really high to a potentially dangerous area. But there you go. Looking forward to a visit to the Vatican- and I’ll post pictures up then!
Ciao!
