High speed rail to rome…

High speed rail to rome...

Just walking through the various piazzas of Rome, as you do, you might expect to see a pretty fountain, some statues or pushy street salesmen. However, you probably wouldn’t expect to see (or maybe you would, I don’t know) a massive high speed rail, Eurostar-esque train right in the middle of the piazza. A full sized train, though not the carriages, for no apparent reason at all. I think that’s pretty strange. To top it all, part of it was hidden in a large marquee from which noises of sawing and machinery were coming from. Very mysterious…
I would love to hear your stories of weird and wonderful things you see in unexpected places! 🙂
